Achievements

Zimbabwe Chess remains one of the most successful and yet under-recognized sport in the country. For example;

• World Chess Olympiad, Georgia 2018; we had the second-best performing Chess team on the African continent after Egypt.
• Africa games, Morocco 2019; we won a team Bronze Medal.
• World Chess Olympiad in Bled, Slovenia 2002; Zimbabwean player won a perfect score Gold Medal, a record yet to be broken.
• World Chess Olympiad (2014), Tromso Norway; Zimbabwean player set a record for the shortest victory at the world stage, a record yet to be broken.
